The 28th World Amateur Golf Championship (WAGC) came to a close with Team Thailand claiming the championship title! Their outstanding performance over four thrilling rounds showcased their skill and determination as they competed against teams from 37 countries. The Thai team finished with a total of 1,108 strokes, expertly navigating the beautiful fairways of Laguna Golf Phuket, Red Mountain Golf Club, and Blue Canyon’s Lakes and Canyon courses. The celebration for the winners was truly spectacular! The awards ceremony, held at the AECS (Angsana Event & Convention Space), was attended by distinguished guests, including Phuket Governor Sophon Suwannarat and WAGC President Isac Saminathan. The evening featured traditional Thai performances, exquisite gourmet food, and enthusiastic applause, transforming the event into a memorable celebration of unity and the passionate spirit that brings golfers together worldwide.
